We got Tram's passport today - we are one step closer to coming home!

Our next step is the INS interview with Vietnamese immigration (hopefully today) and then the trip to Hanoi for our US visa interview.

Alot has happened in the past couple of days - its really late, so I'm just gonna hit the highlights -

We went back to the doctor for Tram's check-up. Her bronchitis is better - it was replaced by a minor cold. So we got some cold/cough medicine and more medicine for her scabies.

I also talked to the doctor about Tram's age. Because of her teeth (she has pretty much a full set - minus molars) and where she is developmentally - the doctor believes that she is closer to 2 years old. Christopher and I have thought that her age was off ever since she warmed up to us. I have never seen a 15 month old that could cleanly feed herself, run around, understand instructions (even in a foreign language!), make herself known (rather forcefully sometimes) and scribble on a piece of paper (holding the pen correctly) - just to name a few. Officially she is 15 months, unofficially - 2 years old!!! Here come the terrible 2's!!!

The other day - I had to pay 1000 VND to NOT go to the bathroom - it was a genuine squatty-potty and I was not in the mood.

We had a 5 course meal in a food court tonight - isn't that ironic?

That's all for now, I have to go to bed - big day today. More later.

Not too much of that fast food. We don't want her first words to be "chicken nugget house". She looks well adjusted and very "2". I think Jaydon is ready for some Mommy and Daddy kisses and hugs. Can't wait to have you all home safe and sound. Love you bunches, Gramma

Hey there! We have been reading your blog daily and are so excited for the two of you. Tram is beautiful! I was just telling Troy earlier (before you did that last post) that Tram looks older than what he had told me you and Chris believed her to be. From the pics and what you posted, Tram is doing alot of the same things Alyssa is doing now......feeding herself, scribbling, etc. Alyssa is 20 months. I am jealous though because Alyssa still dosen't have enough hair for pigtails. Tram is too cute with those:)

Later, Monica

Tram looks very happy now and has certainly warmed up to the camera too. We are very glad to hear she is getting better. Grandma Krissy

Hi Lan & Chris!
I am new to this blogging thing but have been enjoying watching your journey! You have all (including Jayden & Grandma & Grandpa here) been in my prayers. It was so obvious when I saw her with you that God planned for her to be yours all along. No matter how old she is! Michelle's daughter has LOTS of teeth too and she is only 17 months old. I am looking forward to meeting her.
Love you guys!
